Is Prismhaus Comics Just One Guy?

Yes it is! It’s the branding vehicle for me to deliver all of my original stories and characters in one neat package! Even though art is the medium that I use, I consider myself a storyteller at my core. As a result the characters and writing are just as important to me, if not even more than the art that accompanies it! As a result I’m involved at every step of the creative process and the result for readers like you is a truley unique result. This isn’t art by committee: it’s a passionate, holistic vision delivered from one hard-working person!

What Is This Website For?

This website’s purpose is to serve as the central “HQ” so to speak for all of my present and future comics under the Prismhaus brand! While social media is important, there seems to be a near infinite number of them these days. Having a central location where people can be directed to read all my stories in one spot is both convenient and less labor intensive.

Do You Work Traditionally Or Digitally?

I’m an artist who works in both mediums to produce my work. I rough, pencil, and ink my works traditionally either on smooth bristol board or premium brand color copy paper. For inking I use everything from Sharpies, to Papermate felt tip pens, and Uni-ball liquid pens. I even use traditional quill-nib pens with dipped ink as well. As for the digital side, I use Photoshop CS3 in order to do my clean-up, tones, coloring, effects, and shading. I use a Wacom Cintiq for this digital work.

When Is (Insert Comic Title Here) Going To Be Coming Out?

I understand that there is a great deal of anticipation for several of my story ideas that I’ve released character designs, synopses, or illustrations for over the years on other platforms. These include “Kashmir”, “WEST”, “Ortiz”, and “Strangewatchers”. While I appreciate the eagerness, many of these stories are very big long-form ideas. I want to cut my teeth on some shorter one-shots before I move onto them to prove to myself and my readership I can deliver sharp and short stories with minimal bloat. I intend to get to all of them, but I need to work my way up to the big ones if that makes sense! Bear with me, and I promise you’re gonna love the stuff that comes out in the meantime while you’re waiting for them to start!

That’s a great observation, and I’m really grateful that you’re so eager to support me in that way! At the moment I don’t have a hard date for when I’ll be phasing in product of that kind. I know the very first things I want to have available are printed comics, as I have a deep love and respect for physical art that you can hold in your hand. Merch will come later, as it can be easy to jump the gun on stuff like that. Any announcments and updates on this front will be made in posts in the news tab!
